About Us
Artists’ Link, founded in 1989, is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created to be a resource and support group for Memphis area visual artists and to be a link between artists and the community. The group holds monthly program meetings which are open to the public. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the fellowship and sharing of art information.
Regular meetings are held the third Sunday of the month (except June, July, August, and December) 2 to 4 pm at Colonial Park United Methodist Fellowship Hall, 5330 Park Avenue at Estate.
Other group activities include field trips, critiques by local professionals, and planned activities such as plein air painting. Consult our Facebook Page or website for times and places.
Artists' Link has supported local art in many ways, including contributions to the Brooks Museum League’s National Arts Scholarship Awards, Theatre Memphis, and Carpenter Art Garden. Since 2011, Artists’ Link has co-sponsored “Incognito” to support educational programs at the Memphis Botanic Garden. Our members are frequent contributors to worthy causes by donating their time and/or artwork.
Artists’ Link is an all-volunteer group. Success in all events depends on involvement and contribution from all members.

A Message from the President
Welcome, fellow artists and art lovers!
I hope you have had a wonderful and creative summer. Our organization is thriving and I am honored to be Artists’ Link Memphis incoming President. I want to acknowledge the leadership provided by Sandra Horton as our President for the past two years and am excited to welcome the new and returning Officers of the Board and Committee Chairs. We look forward to serving the members of Artists’ Link Memphis Area Visual Artists.
I have built relationships with many of you through Artists’ Link for the past year+. For those of you I have not yet met, let me share with you my path towards becoming involved with this great organization. I moved to Memphis in February 2024. That Christmas my daughter gave me membership in the Memphis Botanic Garden. In their newsletter was an article about Incognito Art Show and Artists’ Link. I decided to join Artists’ Link; and Jim Blythe went out of his way to get me listed in the 2025-2026 directory…the rest is history.
I found Artists’ Link a friendly, welcoming group of people who provided great networking and art education in addition to many opportunities to exhibit art to the public. I also enjoyed the time I spent volunteering for Artists’ Link, at first helping with accepting or returning exhibition artwork, meeting so many of our members, then on the website committee, which provided me with a greater appreciation for our organization’s history and community service.
In 2026-2027, the Board’s and my priorities will be to engage members to become even more involved with Artists’ Link by (1) attending meetings, exhibitions and get-togethers (2) encourage member to volunteer their time and share their expertise with our members to grow professionally (3) to help members move forward with their personal goals towards improvement of their artistic expression and/or to learn how to market their artwork successfully.

If you have an idea, suggestion, comment, improvement, criticism, please contact me, or any of our leadership team to convey your thoughts. If you want to make a difference, reach out to the Committees and let them know you want to get more involved.
I am looking forward to a fantastic 2026-2027, and I am grateful for your membership and dedication to our chapter.
